I help human leaders think clearly about tech.
Philosopher I Author I Speaker
Dr. Pia Lauritzen is a Danish philosopher, tech inventor, and keynote speaker whose work explores how the questions we ask, and don't ask, shape our thinking, technology, and leadership. She has published five books, created the Qvest and Question Jam platforms, and analyzed more than 30,000 questions asked by people around the world. Her contributions have earned international recognition, including being shortlisted for the Thinkers50 Radar Award for showing how questions, not ready-made answers, define our future. In her regular column for Forbes, she asks big questions about tech and tranformation, and she shares her research on LinkedIn Learning, podcasts, TEDAI and TEDx events.
Pia speaks at conferences and corporate events around the world. Her most popular titles include:

Do you think getting answers is the most important reason to ask questions? Think again! In a world drowning in AI answers, knowing why, when, what, and who to ask has never been more important. Not because our future depends on how good we are at prompting the machines. But because it depends on how good we are at thinking for ourselves. In “How to Ask in a World of AI Answers”, Dr. Pia Lauritzen uses philosophy, art, science, and — most importantly — the audience’s own questions to demonstrate how the most important reason to ask questions is to stay human. The keynote is for everyone who isn’t ready to hand over their thinking to a machine. And it can be customized to focus on how to ask questions to lead, educate, or drive change in a world of AI answers.

This keynote is the live version of Pia’s LinkedIn Learning course, “Unlock your question mindset to think clearly and navigate uncertainty”.

You know AI is the future, but do you know what assumptions about humans and machines were built into AI from the very beginning? Did you know that Alan Turing, the founding father of AI, considered the question if machines can think "too meaningless to deserve discussion"? And do you know how it impacts the human ability to think and make decisions to be surrounded by machines designed to think and make decisions for them? You will after this talk. Just as you will know how to deal with the questions that no AI will ever be able to answer for you.

When AI is said to improve everything from productivity to brand loyalty, it’s tempting to assume it can improve leadership too. So, is AI going to make for better leaders? Arguing that the role of leadership is not to make our lives easier, but to remind us of the beauty of using ourselves and our limited time and resources in a meaningful way, we explore ‘the art of leading’ in 3 different eras of technology.

2017. I publish “Questions: Between Identity And Difference”
2024. My book “Questions” is republished by Johns Hopkins University Press as part of their 'Brief Books About Big Ideas' series.
